So pleased to launch our new WEB project at the Safer Families dialogue at University College, ‘Paving the way forward for a stronger primary care response to domestic and family violence’. Also released at the event was the final report for the National DFV training program for primary care, The Readiness Program.

Assist Minister for Health and Aged Care, The Hon. Ged Kearney, delivered a video message to event attendees announcing the release of the Readiness report and launching the WEB project. “Today I am excited to launch the Safer Families Centre’s world-leading Women’s Emotional Well-Being project. This project is so important, providing new evidence on how primary care can help victim-survivors” the Assistant Minister said.

Our Centre is committed to transforming health sector policy and practice responses to domestic, family and sexual violence through research, training, support tools and evaluation. We collaborate internationally and locally with researchers, practitioners and our lived experience victim-survivor group (WEAVERs) to promote safety, wellbeing and healing of families.
